In his Theory of Colors, Goethe takes yellow, red and blue as pure painting colors. When looking at one of these colors, the eye forms the complementary color. Goethe arranges these in a circle opposite the pure colors yellow, red and blue. By dividing the circle of eight, Goethe's color wheel shows two shades of red and two shades of green that can be seen together. The children learn the relationship between the colors by simply mixing the parts and then placing the complementary colors opposite each other, or by placing the mixed colors and pure colors next to each other to complete the circle themselves. Before that, the children should experience how red and blue become purple when mixing watercolors, for example. By creating imaginative patterns and building with the puzzle pieces, children's feeling for colors and shapes is encouraged in a playful way and their spatial thinking is trained. 24 pieces in a wooden frame.
