We are very pleased about the first GRIMMS book, which was created in collaboration with the German illustrator Sarah Settgast.
Settgast. The 26-page PAPERBOOK tells stories about the weather and everything to do with it in 24 lovely illustrations. The 24 terms selected for the book were made from our GRIMMS wooden letters (art. no. 60000 60250) and frame each illustration in German and English.
In addition, Sarah Settgast has painted almost 100 of our wooden items in watercolor and then incorporated some of them into her illustrations using the collage technique. There is a lot to discover, because anyone who loves GRIMM's toys will enjoy searching for the many small hidden wooden parts that are made in our workshops.
Even the youngest children will have fun looking at and telling stories together. The capital letters are perfect for beginners and also for learning foreign languages at elementary school or at home. And, of course, the cardboard book is an ornament for any seasonal table. An experience for the whole family and for all the senses!
Sarah Settgast is an eyewear designer, freelance illustrator, author and publisher. Born in the small Brandenburg town of Kyritz an der Knatter, she now lives in Berlin with her two children, aged 7 and 8. Her style is influenced by the Waldorf tradition. So far, 3 children's books have been published in German by Deutsche Pappebuch Gesellschaft. The bilingual Wetter Buch is produced in the last cardboard book factory in Germany at Sachsendruck Plauen on FCI-certified 400g paper with ecological toy colors and produced according to EU toy standard EN-71. It is bite- and saliva-proof with rounded corners.
